Hello, Friends! Miss Megan here with some fun extension activities to go along with our Facebook LIVE story time! Today we read the story The Great AAA-OOO! a fun, new story for us. Since we have already covered the story and song part of our “class” here are some ideas for movement, sensory, and craft exploration. Here we go!
This flying animals activity is SUCH a good one and super silly too! I have a feeling this might become one of your child’s new favorite games.
Parents of Babies- Have some fun exploring this “flying” activity as well, but you do the flying with BABY instead of a stuffed animal.
For this week’s sensory experience here is a great forest themed sensory bin for your little ones to explore. Even if there is no “forest” for you to rummage for bin items, fill up your bin with things from the backyard or while visiting the park collect some interesting items to add.
Parents of Babies- Allow your baby to explore some collected outdoor items such as leaves, grass clippings, smooth stones, etc with their toes for a great tactile experience!
There were lots of great animals in our story today but my personal favorite was the OWL! You and your little one will enjoy creating and re-telling the story with this sweet owl puppet.
Parents of Babies- Enjoy making this craft with your little one as well! Puppets make great grasping toys, as well as, visuals for song and story time.
Thanks for playing with us today! Check back next Wednesday at 1 pm for another Facebook LIVE class!
