Hey, Friends! Miss Megan here with some fun extension activities to go along with today’s Facebook LIVE story time. Today we read the story Brown Bear, Brown Bear What Do You See? Now we have some movement activities, a sensory experience, and a craft for you to continue the PLAY at home. Let’s get started!
Get your little ones moving like all the animals Brown Bear sees with this fun gross motor activity. Lots of silliness is sure to follow!
***Parents of babies- help your baby move like the animals in the story (move arms up and down for red bird, bicycle legs for blue horse, etc.)
Now this sensory experience will take a little craftiness and prep work from Mom or Dad, but it is sure to be a HIT once completed. Who doesn’t love going on a bear hunt? As you are on the hunt, let your little ones explore the world around them by using all five of their senses!
***Parents of babies- create a grass or leaf sensory experience out of a cleaned out shallow storage bin or metal baking tray for your little one to explore with their toes. Hold them up and let them explore the texture without fear of them “taste testing” their surroundings.
Get a little creative with some kitchen utensils as you create this sweet, bear craft. This finished product is sure to claim a spot on the fridge!
***Parents of babies- Tape up these adorable printables to the bottom edge of the wall or another low place and add a new level of interest to baby’s tummy time!
Thank you for playing with us today! Check back next Wednesday at 1 pm for another Facebook LIVE story time.
